1. Frisian Renaissance two-door wardrobe, 1663
Material: oak wood
Dimensions: height 224 cm; width 182 cm; depth 79 cm

A Frisian two-door case with very rich carving, dated 1663. The case is supported by three ball feet at the front and three straight feet at the rear. Above is the profiled plinth in which two drawers are placed between three heavy postaments with carved lion heads. These postaments form the basis for three fluted columns which are decorated at the bottom with very rich and deep carvings of birds, flowers, tendrils and a cartouche with lobe ornaments. The middle column on this cartouche bears the date of the case. Between the columns are the arched doors of which the left bar is decorated with unripe fruit and the right door with ripe fruit. The posts of the pilasters on the doors are also decorated with carvings of leaf ornaments and crowned by a rooster, crane, swan and peacock respectively. The cabinet is topped by a double profiled spittoon with recessed corners. In the interior there are three inner benches and at the top two doors with open sawn geometric carving


2. French Empire mantel clock, depicting Orpheus, ca. 1815

The dial is signed: Le Sieur à Paris
The bronzes attributed to Choiselat-Gallien

The timepiece has an eight-day moving mechanism with anchor escapement. The striking mechanism on locking disc strikes fully on the whole hours and only on the half hours. The dial is signed Le Sieur à Paris. The hours are indicated with Roman numerals and the minutes with Arabic numerals.


3. French Empire mantel clock, ca. 1805

Material: fire gilt and patinated bronze, enamel dial
Signed on the dial: LeRoy Hr de Madame A Paris

4. Amsterdam longcase clock, Jan Breukelaar, ca. 1765
Dimensions: height 280 cm; width 53 cm; depth 25 cm
Material: oak cabinet with burr walnut and trunk walnut veneer

The half-calendar timepiece has a gong on anchor escapement and has a running time of eight days. The platines are connected by five pillars. The saw striking mechanism strikes in full on the full hours on the large bell and the half hours on the small bell, and is equipped with an alarm clock mechanism.
